Following the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, cricket buffs will get to witness the return of state leagues such as Tamil Nadu Premier League and Madhya Pradesh T20 League. A couple of days after the conclusion of the cash-rich league, TNPL will come up with its ninth installment. Dindigul Dragons, who won their maiden title in last season, will look to defend the title under veteran Ravichandran Ashwin, who was a part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025.

  1. G Ajitesh’s 112 for Nellai Royal Kings against Kovai Kings in 2023

In the sixth game of TNPL 2023, Guruswamy Ajitesh displayed a sensational batting show for Nellai Royal Kings (NRK) against Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK) in Coimbatore. Chasing a massive target of 182, when Nellai lost their captain Arun Karthik in the first over, Guruswamy Ajitesh stood tall and played a rapid knock of 112  off just 60. His innings was studded with 15 boundaries (seven fours and eight maximums). Riding on his knock, Royal Kings achieved the target on the final ball.

  1. Bharath Shankar’s unbeaten 112 for Ruby Trichy Warriors against Karaikudi Kaalai in 2017

Bharath Shankar played a magnificent innings as opener for Ruby Trichy Warriors against Karaikudi Kaalai in 2017. He notched up an unbeaten 112 off 68 and became the first centurion for Warriors. His knock included 17 boundaries (10 fours and seven maximums). Despite his courageous batting performance, Warriors lost the match as their bowlers failed to save a score of 190. However, Shankar got the Player of the Match (POTM) award.

  1. Baba Aparajith’s unbeaten 118 for VB Thiruvallur Veerans against Karaikudi Kaalai in 2016

Baba Aparajith showcased his batting mettle for VB Thiruvallur Veerans against Karaikudi Kaalai in the maiden season. Chasing the target of 166, Veerans witnessed the valiant side of their captain Aparajith, who smashed an unbeaten 118 off just 63. His knock included 18 boundaries (12 fours and six maximums).

  1. Murali Vijay’s 121 for Ruby Trichy Warriors against Nellai Royal Kings

Murali Vijay played an exceptional knock of 121 off 66 for Ruby Trichy Warriors against Nellai Royal Kings and produced the best individual knock for the former side. His innings was supported with 19 boundaries (seven fours and 12 maximums). Despite his knock, Warriors couldn’t win the game as they capitulated to 170/7 while chasing a huge target of 237.

  1. Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten 123 for Lyca Kovai Kings against IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans

In Qualifier 1 of TNPL 2024, Sai Sudharsan delivered a phenomenal innings of an unbeaten 123 off 56 to Lyca Kovai Kings against IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. Pursuing the target of 201, Lyca lost GV Vignesh on the first delivery of the innings. In the pressure situation, Sudharsan exhibited courage and hammered an unbeaten 123 with 18 boundaries off just 56 balls. His scintillating knock guided Kovai to a seven-wicket win as the side pulled off the target in 18.5 overs.
