Celebrity chef Khristianne Uy, better known as Chef K, has revealed a handy trick to peel garlic without hassle. Known for her culinary skills in the kitchens of celebrities like the Kardashians, Jenners, Charlize Theron, Salma Hayek and , she's got a knack for making things simpler.

In a video, she introduces a jar as "garlic's best friend". She starts by smashing a whole bulb of garlic with the jar, causing the skin to peel off within seconds.

Next, she puts the garlic cloves into the jar, seals it and gives it a good shake. In no time at all, the cloves are completely peeled and ready to use, all without leaving a garlicky scent on your hands.

If you do chop garlic and find your fingers smell, the celebrity chef has a solution for that too. In another video, she suggests cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it on your fingers.

If you don't have a lemon handy or you'd rather not sting a cut with lemon juice, she recommends grabbing a "silver spoon,", rubbing your hands on its curved part, and then rinsing them clean.

One viewer pointed out in the comments that garlic can sometimes taste bitter, but there's a simple fix for that too. They suggested removing the green stem from the garlic to avoid any bitterness, a tip that Chef K seemed to agree with, responding with several 'clapping' emojis.

In another handy garlic tip, don't bin the skin - you can transform it into garlic powder. Simply rinse and spread them out on a baking tray.

Next, pop them in the oven until they're nice and crispy. Then, just crush them into a fine powder using your hands or a blender, it's as simple as that.
