New Delhi: In IPL 2025, RCB created history by winning the title. It took RCB 18 years to win the IPL Trophy. After becoming the champion, former RCB owner Vijay Mallya appreciated Virat Kohli and said that he was loyal to the team for so many years. It looks very good to see this.

After Royal Challengers Bangalore won the IPL title, its former owner Vijay Mallya remembered how he bid the auction on young Virat Kohli 18 years ago and said that it was very good to see how this great batsman was loyal to the team for so many years. RCB won the IPL title for the first time by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs in the final played in Ahmedabad.

Mallya tweeted after RCB won

Mallya wrote on ‘X’ that when I formed the RCB team, it was my dream that the IPL title came to Bengaluru. I chose young King Kohli and it is pleasant to see that he stayed with RCB for 18 years. Mallya bought RCB in 2008 for $ 111.6 million (Rs 9,59,94,05,453). He chose Kohli in the first session auction in January 2008 and Kohli has been with this team since then.

Mallya lost the ownership of the team in 2016 due to non -payment of bank loan. Now this team belongs to United Spirits. Mallya selected veterans like AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Jacques Kallis and Anil Kumble for RCB. Mallya wrote, “I also selected Universal Boss Chris Gayle and Mr. 360 AB de Villiers who are integral part of the history of RCB. The IPL Trophy will finally come to Bengaluru. “

He said that congratulations and thanks to everyone for fulfilling my dream. Fans of RCB are the most spectacular and also entitled to this victory. ‘E Sala Cup Bangalore Baruhe.’
