By using the same clever phrase, Caroline is able to shift items she wants to sell. She explained: "I will write a message saying, 'I will be doing a parcel run this afternoon. If you are still interested in this item, I can post this out to you today so you'll get it super quick.'

"Then, I'll copy and paste that same message to everyone else who has favourited items yet to be sold."

She says it's "highly likely" one of those people take you up on the offer, meaning you've made another sale with little to no effort.

Commenting on her video, one user said: "Great idea! Sneaky, but great!" Another user added: "I do this too. It has helped. I word it super nicely."

A third user said: "Sold five items, yes it worked for me." Another user added: "Good thinking, Batman."

How to make a fortune on Vinted

In a video, she said: "I made £6,000 from literally just selling on Vinted – so I'm going to share it all with you." To start, she warns her 9,000 followers against selling items for less than they are worth simply to get rid of them.

"Stop selling things for £10 on Vinted," she said. "Even my friends do this. They'll literally have an item which is worth about £40 and they will put it on Vinted for £10."

Explaining a common technique buyers use, she added: "What will happen is someone will offer them £8 and they'll get really annoyed because the person buying the item thinks 'Oh they're just selling it for £10. They're clearly desperate for money.'

"You look desperate. Let's all increase the price of our things on Vinted." She also encouraged sellers to build a portfolio of about 100 items, uploading them in batches of around 20 once a week.

She added: "If you want to be consistently selling every week, every other day, you can't expect that with literally just 10 items on your page. You need to have a minimum of 100 items. The more, the better because chances are you're going to get regular sales, regular income."

Touching on something that 'should be a given', she stressed how important it is to take pictures of your items in natural daylight with a white background. She also urged sellers to stick to their price where possible and never accept low-ball offers.

"You should only be accepting offers 10 or 15 per cent lower than what you put it on for," she added. "If they don't buy it, that's OK. Sometimes it will take a few months for certain items to go but people will pay it, trust me."

Finally, she warns sellers against buying expensive packaging, saying it cuts into their profits. Instead, she recommends buying shipping bags in bulk from or similar websites. While most users praised her for her advice, other shared their own experiences with selling on Vinted.
