Cathy Kelley, known for her roles as a journalist, television host, model, and actress, has recently announced a significant new opportunity in her career. While continuing her work with WWE, she shared exciting news on social media about landing her first movie role.
As summer 2025 approaches, Kelley took to Twitter to express her enthusiasm, posting a picture of herself in front of a trailer that displayed her character's name. However, she kept the details of the project under wraps.
In her tweet, she wrote, “First movie role: coming soon,” accompanied by emotional emojis, leaving her followers eager for more information.
Kelley’s engaging presence on WWE programming has made her a fan favorite, especially during interviews and events. However, she was notably absent from the recent Backlash event in St. Louis, which some speculate could be linked to her filming schedule.
A fan expressed their anticipation for the Backlash Countdown and post-show, specifically mentioning Kelley. Unfortunately, she had to inform them that she would not be attending the event.
Originally joining WWE in February 2016, Kelley served as a correspondent for NXT and special events. After a brief hiatus, she returned in 2022 and has since been a regular feature on Raw and SmackDown, also co-hosting WWE’s digital exclusives.
