In Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, the number of active COVID-19 patients has surged to 17 following the detection of seven new cases. This update was provided by a health department official.
Dr. Anshul Mishra, the district's epidemic control officer, reported that among the newly confirmed cases, there are three women and four men. He noted that three of these individuals had recently traveled to Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Kerala.
Dr. Mishra stated, 'Currently, there are a total of 17 COVID-19 patients in the district. None of the infected individuals are exhibiting severe symptoms of the virus. They are being treated in isolation at their homes.'
He further mentioned that since January, a total of 33 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the district, including a 74-year-old woman who has unfortunately passed away. This elderly woman had been suffering from serious kidney issues before her death in April.
