New Delhi. One day of a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, there was a hearing in the Karnataka High Court. The acting thing of the High Court, Justice V. Kameshwar Rao asked the Karnataka government that who was the organizer of the program, what was the preparation for such a big event in advance? How many gates are there in the stadium and how many of them were open? Taking automatic cognizance on the death of 11 people in the stampede, the High Court issued a notice to the Karnataka government and sought a report regarding the entire accident. Also, the date of June 10 has been fixed for the next hearing.

The High Court bench said that self cognizance has been taken in this case to find out why this tragedy happened. At the same time we are also finding out if this incident could have been stopped? What steps should be taken for this type of incident in future. The High Court questioned how many police forces were deployed in view of the crowd and how many ambulances were there? On behalf of the state government, AG Shashikaran Shetty said that the Bengaluru Police had prepared for security. 1 thousand 643 police personnel were deployed. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has 21 gates and all were open. Around 2 lakh people were present around the stadium, some of which also came from outside.

On the other hand, the state deputy CM DK Shivkumar became emotional while talking to reporters about the incident. He said that this is unbearable pain because the people who die are members of our family. I am not able to digest that our children who were still entitled to flourishing have become victims of a stampede. We are taking this matter very seriously. From this we need to learn a lesson.
