The Indian men’s cricket team has got a new strength and conditioning coach. South African experienced sports scientist Adrian Le Rocks has been selected for this important responsibility. He will replace Soham Desai, who recently left the post.
Adrian Le Rocks has no new experience in this role – he had worked with the Indian team earlier from January 2002 to May 2003. Apart from this, he has also had a long and successful tenure with big teams like Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings in the IPL.
Farewell to Punjab Kings, Rocks became emotional
Adrian Le Rocks recently completed their six -year journey with Punjab Kings. This time the team reached the final but remained a little distance away from the title. On farewell, he wrote an emotional post on Instagram:
“This six -year -old journey was very special for me. We reached the finals, left a little behind but I am proud of this team. Thank you to players, support staff and colleagues.

Le Rock’s fitness strategies make a big difference in players’ performance. Team India will now get the benefit of his experience, especially in the challenges of Test cricket.
New innings starts with England Test series
The second term of Adrian Le Rocks will begin with India’s tour of England, in which five Test matches will be played.
First Test in Leeds from 20 June
Other matches will be at Edgbaston, Lords, Old Trafford and Oval.
