After the end of IPL 2025, now the eyes of cricket lovers are on another big match. The 5 -match Test series between India and England starts from June 20, which the fans have been waiting for a long time. The special thing is that this series is considered to be the beginning of a new era, because it will not be seen by experienced players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin.
But the most special that is making the series of this time is Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy. According to a report, the England Cricket Board (ECB) has decided to name the trophy given to the winner of the Indo-England Test series, India’s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar and England veteran fast bowler James Anderson. According to the report, this new trophy can be unveiled before the first Test on 20 June at the headingley ground in Leeds.
However, it has not been officially confirmed so far, but it is expected that the name of the trophy will be made public soon and possibly both Tendulkar and Anderson will be present on that occasion.
It will also be seen whether this trophy will be implemented equally for the Test series played in both countries. Till now, the series in England was played for ‘Padodi Trophy’ and in India for ‘Anthony Demallo Trophy’. According to reports, ECB had already told the Pataudi family not to continue the Padodi Trophy further.
