In the third season of Netflix's Ginny and Georgia, Ginny Miller (portrayed by Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) grapple with the arrest of their mother, Georgia (Brianne Howey).

As Georgia's facade crumbles, those who truly care for her begin to question her potential to commit murder. With more secrets surfacing, her new husband Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) decides he's had enough.

Georgia then endures every mother's worst fear as her children are taken away to live with their fathers, leaving her utterly alone. The final episode kicks off with a shocking twist as Austin lies and reveals in court that it was Gil (Aaron Ashmore) who murdered Cynthia's (Sabrina Grdevich) husband.

A flashback reveals that Ginny had previously warned her brother about Gil's plan to take him away. She convinces him to testify that Gil was at their home on the night of the murder, claiming his motive was being denied an apartment application by Cynthia and Georgia - a decision he would later regret.

Ginny also confronts Cynthia, threatening her with evidence of her affair with Joe (Raymond Ablack). Thanks to Ginny's clever plot, Georgia is found innocent and avoids prison.

Following Gil's courtroom escape, Austin and Ginny return home to live with Georgia, while Ginny's father Zion (Nathan Mitchell) files for joint custody.

In a heartwarming twist, Ginny and Marcus shared a passionate kiss after confessing their enduring love for each other, much to the delight of viewers.

However, things took a turn for the worse for Marcus as his mother whisked him off to rehab due to his escalating drinking problem and plummeting academic performance.

Ginny was also grappling with her own issues as her mother expressed fears that she was becoming too much like her, but Ginny remained steadfast in her belief that she had made the right choices.

Meanwhile, Georgia made a shocking confession to Joe, admitting that she had killed people and expressing her exhaustion from constantly lying and running away.

Despite the shocking revelations, Joe responded by kissing her, affirming the depth of their friendship.

It seems that the duo might be on the verge of taking their relationship to the next level, especially as Paul appeared to have completely severed ties with Georgia, rejecting her attempts at an apology.

The finale's closing moments hinted at some ominous developments, with Georgia's father repeatedly calling her from prison, warning her of the ease with which she could be traced.

Adding to the suspense, it seemed that Georgia's mother and stepfather had managed to track her down and were seen driving past her house.

However, this might be the least of Georgia's concerns as she realised that her recent cravings for milk could indicate that she is pregnant, a theory that she and Ginny agreed upon.

With the series already confirmed for a fourth season, fans will have to wait to find out if Georgia is indeed expecting.

Viewers will also learn what Georgia's estranged family wants from her following her high-profile trial - could she be on the brink of facing her greatest threat yet?
