Kamal Haasan 's much-anticipated film 'Thug Life', directed by Mani Ratnam , is running with mixed reviews on its second day at the box office following a slow start on opening day.
According to early estimates from trade analyst Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 17 crore on its first day, with the majority coming from the Tamil market (Rs 15.4 crore), while Hindi and Telugu versions contributed Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 1.5 crore, respectively. As per the early estimates on its second day, the film added approximately Rs 2.48 crore, bringing the total collection to about Rs 19.48 crore.


On Friday, June 6, 2025, 'Thug Life' recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 20.01%, with morning shows maintaining the same occupancy rate. The Hindi version saw a modest occupancy of 4.10% during morning shows, reflecting limited traction in the Hindi-speaking regions. Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered a 13.26% occupancy in morning shows, showing some interest but still below expectations.

Despite the hype around the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, 'Thug Life' has seen a mixed response at the box office, with a strong Tamil presence but limited appeal in other language markets. The film's performance over the coming days will be crucial in determining its overall success.
