Tesco has announced a major change to its Meals Deals as it confirms brand new items across stores. The has confirmed that a new range of mains are arriving on its shelves, giving shoppers a greater range of choice. A typically includes a main item, such as a sandwich, wrap, roll, salad or sushi, accompanied by a snack, like crisps, confectionery or ice cream, and a drink. But for those following a gluten free diet, options are often limited in stores - or not included in meal deals altogether.

But has announced that it now has some tasty new main Meal Deal options on offer for gluten free customers across its stores, including new sandwich and wrap flavours.

In a post on Facebook, the supermarket shared a photo of its gluten free BLT sandwich, which contains beechwood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and seasoned mayo encased in gluten free seeded bread, and a gluten free Mexican style chicken fajita wrap.

The wrap comprises a mixture of chicken breast, spicy tomato dressing, sweetcorn, medium Cheddar cheese and black turtle beans, with soured cream and lettuce in a gluten free tortilla wrap.

Tesco's website also includes a gluten free cheese and tomato sandwich, and a gluten free chicken and mayonnaise sandwich as options in its Meal Deal.

A Meal Deal costs £3.60 for shoppers with a Clubcard, or £4.00 at the regular price and includes a choice of drink and snack.

In a post on Facebook, Tesco said: "Yes! You heard right... NEW GF Free Meal Deal Mains are here. Tesco Meal Deal: Clubcard price £3.60, regular price £4.00. Meal deal includes one main, one snack and one drink. Available in most stores, excludes Whoosh. Clubcard/app required. Subject to availability."

If you don't have a Clubcard you can for free. You can earn Clubcard points for every £1 spent at Tesco and these can be turned into vouchers, with every 150 points giving you £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers.

The vouchers remain valid for two years and can be spent in store or online, and can be doubled in value when redeemed with one of Tesco's 100 Reward Partners, which include Disney+, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, ASK Italian, Pizza Express, the RAC and Cineworld.
