Activist Approaches Fir Against Virat Kohli: Two days after the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, a new twist has come to light. In which 11 people lost their lives, Bangalore social activist HM Venkatesh has lodged a complaint at Kabban Park Police Station and demanded to register an FIR against cricketer Virat Kohli.
Venkatesh says that Virat Kohli should be made the main accused for this incident, as he lashed out in the crowd and this tragic incident happened. The police is now investigating the matter.
The tragic stampede occurred outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday (June 4) when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won its first IPL title since its inception in 2008. A program was organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to celebrate the historic victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore, during which a huge crowd gathered outside the stadium. It is being said that the main reasons for this deadly situation were free pass distribution, excessive congestion and limited number of seats in the stadium. This incident has shook the entire city.
Virat Kohli posted an official statement of RCB on Instagram stories, in which he also added a passionate message. Kohli reacted to this stampede and wrote, “I don’t have words to say. I am completely broken.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore not only won the IPL 2025 title, but also showed a great game in this league from the beginning to the end. He won the final ticket by winning the first qualifier of the playoffs. At the same time, Bangalore stood second in 14 matches in the IPL 2025 points table with 19 points and +0.301 net run rate.
