What was the reason for the Bengaluru stampede?

The tragic stampede occurred outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday (June 4) when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won its first IPL title since its inception in 2008. A program was organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to celebrate the historic victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore, during which a huge crowd gathered outside the stadium. It is being said that the main reasons for this deadly situation were free pass distribution, excessive congestion and limited number of seats in the stadium. Virat Kohli posted an official statement of RCB on Instagram stories, in which he also added a passionate message. Kohli reacted to this stampede and wrote, “I don’t have words to say. I am completely broken.”
