"I myself went for the small and it was just right for me. We were very well looked after by Nate who was an absolute treasure. So in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone".

Echoing the praise of large portions another said: "Roadside stop for lunch on the way into Looe. We wanted seafood and this place has a good mix on the menu. Weren't sure what to expect but it was fabulous.

"Portions were huge - and we only ordered small plates! Chowder was fabulous and the scallops very good - 6 in a small portion. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing. Service good and friendly too."

The restaurant has certainly stuck to their commitment with another visitor noting how fresh the quality of food is. They wrote: "Absolutely the very best fish and chips I have ever had! We could not get over the freshness of everything and the taste of every ingredient - just perfect! The mushy peas and curry sauce were delicious!

"The fishcakes, as an addition, were also delicious and our daughter made us jealous with her chicken nuggets! Honestly - if in Looe or nearby (we are in Polperro), you need to get your fish and chips from here. There is a wait for the takeaway (15-20mins) but seriously worth it!"

The Coddy Shack is open Monday to Sunday from 9am to 9pm, with breakfast available from 9am to 11:30am.
