Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): Indore-Dahod Railway Project is progressing rapidly, with the construction of a new railway station in Dhar designed to blend historical and modern elements.

Senior railway officials inspected the ongoing work from Pithampur to Dhar on Thursday, focusing on the station's design, which is inspired by the famous Jahaz Mahal of Mandu.

The Dhar Railway Station will feature all modern facilities for passengers, including escalators, lifts, stairs and ramps to ensure easy access to the first floor. Additionally, parking facilities for both four-wheelers and two-wheelers will be available outside the station. The waiting room will be categorised, with separate areas for reserved third-class and non-AC passengers.

Western Railway's chief public relations officer Vineet Abhishek and engineer Tapeshwar Rai were present during the inspection. A main entry route has been established from the Sunarkhedi Phate station on Ratlam Road. The station will be built on the first floor, with parking and other amenities located on the ground level.

Furthermore, a smaller railway station will be constructed at Tirla, 12 km from Dhar, to accommodate local trains.
