On Sunday, June 8, between 2:30 am and 6:30am IST, HDFC Bank has decided to shut down key digital services. A major system upgrade is supported by the outage.

Many are questioning this decision by the HDFC Bank. The bank aims to improve stability and customer experience. It chose early hours for routine infrastructure upgrades.

Customers should plan bill payments and transfers before June 8, 2:30am. They should avoid scheduling recurring transactions like EMI's or subscriptions during the outage.

Mobile app, NetBanking , PayZapp, UPI apps, and transfers via IMPS/NEFT/RTGS will be affected.

The services to be impacted are HDFC-routed Merchant UPI payments, HDFC Mobile Banking app UPI functions, UPI transactions via third-party apps integrated with HDFC, RuPay credit card UPI payments issued by HDFC and also, All UPI transactions from HDFC savings and current accounts.

This HDFC Bank decision will also have additional effects like NetBanking, MobileBanking, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS fund transfers. The access towards account details, deposits, merchant payments will be restricted.
