Pop icon Miley Cyrus recently looked back at her early 2000s romance with Nick Jonas and revealed some untold emotions from their breakup. The 32-year-old singer shared how deeply affected she was when Jonas decided to part ways with her.
“Niley for life,” she said on the Every Single Album podcast, referencing their couple nickname.
The 'Flowers' hitmaker admitted she penned the emotional track 'Take Me Along' from her 2010 album 'Can’t Be Tamed' during the aftermath of their split. She revealed the song came to life while she was in bed with her sister before a performance and was trying to process all her feelings altogether.
Cyrus recalled that their relationship began to unravel when Nick chose to go on tour with the Jonas Brothers instead of joining her shows. “He wanted to break away from the whole Disney image, and I just didn’t get why he couldn’t do that with me,” she confessed.

Still holds warmth for Nick and his family

Despite the split with Nick, Miley spoke kindly about him, acknowledging his current life with wife Priyanka Chopra and their daughter, Malti. “I like Nick, also I’m into him,” she said during the podcast, before clarifying, “We’re all moving on. Everything is good in life.”
Cyrus also recalled a poignant moment after their breakup when she was crying backstage, and her sister, who was also playing guitar on that tour, reminded her that 25,000 people were waiting for her to pull herself together. It was s very big turning point that helped her channel her heartbreak into art.
