Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has invited applications for recruitment to a total of 85 posts of Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant and Library Assistant-A. Interested candidates can apply till 18 June 2025.

Technical Assistant (Mechanical): 27 posts
Technical Assistant (Computer Science): 12 posts
Technical Assistant (Chemical): 8 posts
Technical Assistant (Civil, Automobile, Refrigeration/AC): 4 posts
Scientific Assistant (Physics/Chemistry): 5 posts
Library Assistant-A: 2 posts

Educational Qualification

First class diploma in the relevant subject is mandatory for Technical Assistant posts. For Scientific Assistant posts, one should have a graduation degree in the relevant subject, while for Library Assistant posts, graduation and post graduation in Library Science is required.

How much will be the salary?

The selected candidates will get a monthly salary of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 as per the 7th Pay Commission. Along with this, other allowances and promotion facilities of the Central Government will also be given.

Selection Process

The recruitment process will be conducted in two stages—

Written Exam: The 90-minute exam will have a total of 80 objective questions. One mark will be given for every correct answer and there will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for the wrong answer.

Skill Test: In this, the practical knowledge of the candidate will be tested.
