Mohali: Rayat Bahra University has decided to award scholarships worth Rs 25 crore this year to meritorious and needy students.

Announcing this here today, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the University, said under Corporate Social Responsibility, Rayat Bahra University offers financial assistance (Scholarships) to meritorious, deserving and needy students upto Rs 25 crore in the field of Engineering, Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Education, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Medical & Allied Sciences, Airlines & Tourism, Law, and Dental.

He said Rayat Bahra University offers a Higher Education Scholarship Scheme exclusively for existing students of the Rayat Bahra Group. Under this scheme, eligible students will receive an additional 5 percent tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of their course, on top of any other scholarship they qualify for.

Bahra said the RBUScholarship Entrance Test (RBUSET) is an initiative by Rayat Bahra University (RBU) to provide scholarships and financial support to deserving students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. The test serves as a gateway for students to earn scholarships based on their academic potential and performance in the entrance test.

Explaining the eligibility criteria, he said for Undergraduate Programmes the candidates must have completed or be appearing for their Class12th (or equivalent) exams.

The minimum aggregate percentage as per the programme’s eligibility. For Postgraduates Programmes the candidates must hold a graduate degree or be in the final year of their bachelor’s programme.

For Diploma Programmes the candidates have passed Class 10th or equivalent qualifications.

For international students the test is open to applicants from other countries with equivalent qualifications. On this occasion, Vice Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group Gurinder Singh Bahra, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Satish Kumar Bansal, Registrar Dr. Gurdarshan Singh Brar, Pankaj Verma (V.P.), and other senior officials were present.
