It is full of pedestrian-friendly streets, lined with independant cafes, and features an incredible arts scene, making it perfect for those who like to wander, and would like to embrace all that it has.

"What is not to like about walking along the Pier, the hustle, bustle and the sound of visitors just enjoying themselves, kids will love it and it also takes their parents back in time to when they were youngsters at the seaside," one person wrote on TripAdvisor.

Speaking about North Laine, another person said: "This is my favourite place to walk around when I'm in Brighton, as there are so many quirky wee shops and cafés to see."

Bournemouth came close behind with a score of 97 out of 100. The southern town boasts easy access to plenty of , town centre shops, and beautiful cliffside views, all within a short walk.

Eastbourne, Ramsgate, and Swansea all came joint third, with only a point less than Bournemouth. All three towns make lovely spots for wanders to tour.

Eastbourne famed for its wide promenades and Victorian archiecture is the perfect spot for walks along the seafront and a hike up to Beachy Head.

Ramsgate offers a blend of coastal charm and historic character, with its Royal Harbour Marina, and "compact" town centre that is best explored on foot. Whilst in Swansea the waterfront stretching from the marina to the beach sit close to museums, markets, and restaurants all worth visiting.
