Lucknow: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh has officially become engaged to Priya Saroj, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party. The couple's engagement ceremony has taken social media by storm, with the first video showcasing them joyfully holding hands and smiling, marking their debut as a couple in the public eye.
Prominent figures from the Samajwadi Party, including Akhilesh Yadav, Shivpal Yadav, Ramgopal Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra Yadav, and Ziaur Rahman Barq, were present at the engagement, which featured special arrangements for the attendees.
As per reports, the lavish menu for the event included a variety of dishes such as Mix Veg Raita, Pineapple Raita, Dahi Bhalla, Paneer Tikka Lababdar, and many more, with the cost per plate estimated at Rs 6,000.
Priya Saroj, aged 26, is the daughter of Tufani Saroj, a three-time MP and current SP MLA. A law graduate from Varanasi, she completed her education in Delhi and recently won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Machhlishahr, defeating BJP candidate BP Saroj by a margin of over 35,000 votes. Her father confirmed that both families had engaged in positive discussions regarding the engagement, leading to mutual consent.
