After giving a number of serious movies, Akshay Kumar has now returned to the screen with his comedy franchise, Housefull 5. The film was released on Friday (June 6) and according to the industry tracker Sacnilk, it earned a massive Rs 24 crore on its first day 1 of theatrical release.

As per the Sacnilk’s rough data, the movie collected Rs 30 crore on its second day 2 of earnings. With this, the movie has crossed the Rs 54 crore mark. The movie saw two different endings: Housefull 5 A and Housefull 5Band therefore, the occupancy also varies between the endings.

On Saturday, Housefull 5Awhich has been doing better, achieved an overall Hindi occupancy of 37.97 per cent, with morning shows at 15.40 per cent, afternoon shows at 40.50 per cent, evening shows at 43.65 per cent, and night shows reaching a peak of 52.32 per cent. Chennai had the highest regional occupancy. Conversely, Housefull 5B experienced a lower overall occupancy of 21.97 per cent.

Storyline of Housefull 5

This is a murder mystery comedy where there is a billionaire named Ranjeet Dobriyal who dies while celebrating his 100th birthday on a cruise. His son, Dev, decides not to make this news public because it will hamper the image and business of their company. After that, the Dobriyal lawyer discloses the will, which says the heir of the billionaire’s property will be his son from his first wife, whose name is Jolly.  The rest of the story revolves around who the real jolly is, and in the process, several murders take place.
