The weather department (weather update) has informed that a heat wave alert has been issued from June 9 to 11. During this time, people are being advised to leave their homes during the afternoon only if it is very necessary.

Heat wave continues in Punjab for three days-

The Meteorological Department (IMD Rain Alert) issued an alert and said that a yellow alert of heat wave has been issued in Punjab for three days from Monday. The department is expecting an increase in temperature by five to six degrees in the next five days. Bathinda has been the hottest in Punjab. On Saturday, the maximum temperature of Bathinda was recorded above 42 degrees.

The heat wave is constantly increasing

Apart from this, the maximum temperature in Chandigarh is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius in the next five days.

However, the temperature had not yet reached 40 degrees Celsius in the month of June. Due to this, people were enjoying the weather, although now people’s troubles are increasing due to the increasing heat. Despite it being a public holiday, many people preferred to stay at home to avoid the heat.

The maximum temperature of Amritsar was recorded at 41.1 degrees, Ludhiana 40.0 degrees, Patiala 40.0 degrees, Pathankot 40.5 degrees, Bathinda 42.6 degrees, Fazilka 40.8 degrees, Jalandhar 39.0 degrees. Apart from this, the minimum temperature of Amritsar was recorded at 27.4 degrees. The minimum temperature of Ludhiana was 27.0 degrees, Patiala 26.0 degrees, Pathankot 26.4 degrees, Bathinda 25.6 degrees, Faridkot 27.3 degrees, Ferozepur 27.0, Jalandhar 27.2 degrees.

The temperature in Chandigarh rose so much-

On Saturday, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 39.9 degrees Celsius. Which was 1.1 degrees Celsius above normal. Apart from this, the minimum temperature was also 27.1 degrees Celsius. Which was 0.7 degrees Celsius above normal. This is the first time that both the maximum and minimum temperatures in Chandigarh are above normal in the month of June.
