Mumbai Local Train Accident: There has been a major train accident in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Five passengers fell from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from a local train going towards Kasara area of Thane. According to officials, eight passengers have fallen from the train.
Railway officials said on Monday that 5 people have died after falling from the local train. This train was carrying more riders than capacity. The incident took place between Mumbra and Diva railway station. Pushpak Express and Kasara were getting local crosses at the time of the accident. Officials believe that the passengers were traveling by hanging on the doors due to overcrowding. The accident took place during this time. At the same time, the injured have been taken to the nearest hospital.
On the accident, it was said by the Central Railway, ‘Some passengers going towards CSMT at Mumbra railway station in Thane fell from the train. The cause of the accident is considered to be a huge crowd in the train. Railway administration and police have reached the spot. The injured are being immediately taken to the nearest hospital. The investigation of the accident has started. Local services have also been affected by the incident.
CPRO Swapnil Dhanraj Neela of Central Railway said, “Eight people traveling in a local train going from Mumbra to Diva have fallen. The guards of the local train going to Kasara reported the incident. These people have been taken to the hospital for treatment. People traveling in the train leading to CSMT collided with each other and fell. ”
