As the Narendra Modi-led government completed 11 years in power, BJP National President JP Nadda addressed a press conference hailing the tenure as a transformative era that reshaped India's political, social, and economic foundations. Flanked by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and party leaders Sunil Bansal and Arun Singh, Nadda outlined what he called a historic journey from appeasement to accountability.

Nadda said Prime Minister Modi ended the politics of appeasement and ushered in a new era of report card politics based on accountability, performance, and transparency.

“This is a strong and effective government which has brought economic discipline and set the foundation for a developed India,” he said.

Listing landmark decisions, Nadda credited Modi for:

• Abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir

• Triple Talaq abolition

• Implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)

• New Waqf Law

• Women’s reservation bill

• Demonetization, which he claimed had wide public support

“These were not just political moves—they were social reforms,” he added.

• India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy, according to IMF projections.

• The taxpayer base expanded, signaling a broader shift in economic discipline.

• The government, he said, has delivered Covid vaccines to over 150 countries and administered 220 crore doses to Indians.

Nadda said that under Modi’s leadership:

• 25 crore people moved out of poverty

• Major schemes benefited the poor, including:

  • Awas Yojana (housing)

  • PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

  • Saubhagya Yojana (electricity access)

  • Ujala Yojana (LED distribution)

  • DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)

• Swachh Bharat and New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 were called “game-changers”.

Echoing the BJP's now-popular slogan, Nadda said,

“India's common citizen now believes that if Modi is there, then it is possible.”

He emphasized that development is now linked with invention and innovation, signaling a shift from survival to aspiration.
