Who is Raj Kushwaha: Indore's Raja Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam has been arrested in the murder case during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. Sonam had hired a contract killer to get the king killed.

The story of Indore couple Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam, who went to Meghalaya for honeymoon, has now completely changed. After the body of Raja Raghuvanshi was found, Sonam has now been arrested for his murder. Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur, UP on Monday morning. Along with Sonam, three more people have also been arrested in the case of Raja Raghuvanshi's murder. According to the police, Sonam had hired a contract killer to kill her husband Raja Raghuvanshi. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma himself tweeted and informed about this.

Meghalaya DGP Idashisha Nongraang said that Sonam had hired a contract killer to kill her husband. One of these accused has been arrested from UP. Two accused have been arrested by the SIT from Indore. The arrested accused have given names of some more people. Earlier, Sonam surrendered at Nandganj police station in UP and was later arrested.

At the same time, a new twist came in the case when a name came to the fore after Sonam's arrest. This name is Raj Kushwaha . It is being told that before marriage, Sonam was having an affair with a man named Raj Kushwaha. In such a situation, it is being speculated that for this affair, Sonam got Raja Raghuvanshi killed by giving a contract.

According to sources, Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha were in a love relationship. Raj used to work in Sonam's father's factory. Sonam's father has a mica factory in which Sonam was in the post of HR and Raj was the manager. Sonam's father Devi Singh Raghuvanshi says that Raj was working in the factory till two days before the incident.

How the honeymoon turned into a murder

Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam got married last month on 11 May. 9 days after the wedding, both reached Guwahati via Bangalore for honeymoon and visited Maa Kamakhya Devi. From here Raja and Sonam left for Meghalaya to celebrate their honeymoon. After reaching Meghalaya, both went to Shillong and rented a scooty. They last spoke to their family on 22 May and after that both disappeared.

When the family could not contact Raja and Sonam, a missing person report was filed with the Meghalaya police and a search for the two began. 11 days later, Raja Raghuvanshi's body was found in a ditch. A woodcutter was also found near the body. Raja's purse, watch, gold chain, ring, and diamond bracelet were missing. Apart from these, a lady's white shirt was also found near Raja's body.

The whole story changed.

Initially, it was believed that Raja and Sonam were robbed. The killers must have attacked them with the intention of looting. After Raja's murder, the search for Sonam intensified. A major search operation was launched involving police, SDRF, NDRF, SOT, and drones. NDRF personnel were sent down into the trench and every inch of the area was searched.

However, on Monday, the story changed completely when the news of Sonam's surrender came. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted, 'Within seven days, Meghalaya Police has achieved a major success in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. 3 attackers have been arrested and the woman has surrendered. The operation is still ongoing to catch another attacker.'
