A huge cordon has been put up in Nottingham city centre following a police "incident". Reports suggest Market Street, linking Theatre Square and the Old Market Square, has been closed, with witnesses saying they saw at least six police cars shortly after noon today, as per .
However, little is known about what happened or if any injuries have been sustained. Nottingham Express Transit (NET), which runs the city's tram system said: "The emergency services are dealing with an incident which is affecting our services.
"Due to a police incident, there is currently no service between Royal Centre and Nottingham Station. We're sorry if this affects your journey with us today," the firm added.
