On Monday, operations on a section of the Delhi Metro's Pink Line were interrupted following a smoke incident in the technical room at Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake station. The Pink Line runs between Majlis Park and Shiv Vihar, as reported by officials.
According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), smoke was detected around 11:20 AM, which impacted the station's signaling and automated fare collection (AFC) systems.
In a statement, DMRC mentioned, 'As a result, trains approaching Trilokpuri-Sanjay Lake from both directions are being operated at a restricted speed of 25 km/h due to the temporary unavailability of signaling at the station.' However, services on the rest of the Pink Line are functioning normally.
The statement further noted that personnel from the Delhi Fire Service assisted in clearing the smoke, and repair work is underway to restore the affected systems. DMRC is continuously making public announcements inside the stations and trains to keep passengers informed about the situation.
