Rinku and Priya first crossed paths two years ago at a mutual friend's wedding. Their initial meeting blossomed into a deep friendship, eventually evolving into love. In January 2025, both families formalized their relationship with a traditional ceremony at Rinku's home in Aligarh.

During the engagement, Priya captivated the guests with her dance performance, exuding confidence that got everyone on their feet. The engagement ceremony at The Centrum Hotel was attended by around 300 guests, including prominent figures such as Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, and Ram Gopal Yadav. The event featured exquisite decorations, VIP security, and special arrangements for attendees, with guests treated to vegetarian dishes and Bengali sweets like rasgullas.
