Emmerdale viewers are fretting over Lydia Dingle's (Karen Blick) sudden disappearance as she's been absent from the series for weeks now.
Concern first arose when Lydia failed to show up for her own 50th birthday celebration at Home Farm, an event organised by Kim Tate (Claire King).
The grand soiree began without a hitch, yet it swiftly became evident that Lydia wouldn't make it back from her mother's house in time for the festivities.
After some time, Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Lydia's husband, disclosed to relatives that Lydia would not be back in the village for a substantial period.
According to him, her mother's illness is severe, necessitating Lydia's stay for several weeks, if not longer, reports .
In recent episodes, the murder of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) was finally revealed to the police after they pulled his body from the lake, who later informed his dad, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
As the investigation into Nate's brutal death continues, Cain appears to be a suspect despite John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) being the culprit.
As the Dingle family reels from Nate's murder, invested fans are left wondering about Lydia's whereabouts.
A perturbed fan took to Facebook questioning, "Where the hell has Lydia gone?".
One viewer responded: "I read somewhere that she's left and isn't coming back, but I don't know if it's true."
Another fan noted: "She doing what Lisa's character use to do, disappear for while and come back.
"She was seen by John committing a murder and he chopped her up", another quipped about finding her arm in the lake.
Over on X, an Emmerdale enthusiast exclaimed: "Where's Lydia, has she been abducted by aliens? #Emmerdale."
While another queried: "Anyone spotted Lydia yet?? #emmerdale.
"Has John murdered Lydia and dumped her in the lake? #Emmerdale", another added.
