have been slow movers in the summer transfer window so far, having failed to make a signing as the first deadline approaches. The window is set to shut on Tuesday, June 10 for six days and reopen on Monday, June 16 for the rest of the summer and up until Monday, September 1.

While Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have got moves over the line within the first 10 days of the summer, Arsenal appear to have stood still. , but the Gunners don't seem to have progressed in their pursuit of a centre forward.

Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta is still debating whether to prioritise a move for Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko, with both players at the top of the club's transfer shortlist.

Sane offer made

Arsenal are one of four clubs that have made a 'written offer' for Leroy Sane, who is out of contract at Bayern Munich, this summer, according to Caught Offside.

It's added that Mikel Arteta has 'spoken' to Sane, who is 'mulling over his future' amid 'other options'. The German is said to want to join the Gunners, but has 'asked for more money' with Bayern, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray willing to pay more for his services, at this stage.

A move to Arsenal is considered as the 'most likely', as long as they increase their proposal, while he has spoken directly to Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho about a move to Turkey.

FL says: Sane should accept an offer to sign for Arsenal this summer. I have a feeling this is the type of signing that can work at the Emirates Stadium, after Sane and Arteta worked together at Manchester City.

It's clear that the Gunners need some more depth and strength on the left-hand side and if they can get Sane on a free transfer, that would be a superb piece of business, regardless of his age.

As for Sane, moving to Arsenal or remaining at Bayern would be the best decision for his career. It does feel as though he has unfinished business in the Premier League, however.

Zubimendi latest

Arsenal are starting to become concerned about signing Martin Zubimendi. According to , the outlook has changed because of renewed interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish club's coaches and directors reputedly want the player on their team next season.

It is said Madrid will take the plunge and ask Real Sociedad about the player. A commitment and decision from Zubimendi on Arsenal allegedly is not yet finalised.

The possibility of signing for Madrid now purportedly exists for the first time. Marca states that "everything is open, nothing is set in stone" after Zubimendi "received a call that has changed everything".

FL says: Arsenal need to act fast to ensure that Real Madrid do not hijack a move for Martin Zubimendi. The Spaniard could be the missing piece in the jigsaw and he would strengthen that midfield alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard, with Mikel Merino acting as a back-up.

However, if Real Sociedad are trying to rise the price above his £51m release clause and get Real Madrid involved, the Gunners should walk away and look at alternatives. Youri Tielemans is the man that I would consider, following an excellent season in Aston Villa's midfield.
