fans are convinced they know who killer John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth) is going to frame for the murder of Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter) after he was questioned by police about the killing on the long running soap. Viewers are sure he is going to ensure Nate's ex Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) takes the fall for his crime as he appeared to land her in it with police while his in-laws the Dingles are also questioning her innocence.

Taking to X they shared their theories. "John is definitely going to frame Tracy now he knows the Dingles are pointing the finger in her direction," one wrote. "He doesn't remember, John is helping to frame Tracy..." another penned in response to his claims he didn't recall anything about Nate's supposed departure to Shetland. A third was shocked by the events unfolding writing: "The Dingles all defending John over Tracy this is sick." Meanwhile a fourth was delighted to see the young mum being set up writing: "John stitching up Tracy, respect!"

A fifth observed: "John is evil. He's going to try and pin this on Tracy. If it worked and Tracy was jailed for it where would that leave Frankie...with no mother or father. He's definitely a psychopath."

John threw Tracy under the bus and put her on the police raider during his interview with them about the last day Nate was seen alive.

"Mrs. Robinson has said that you told her that Mr. Robinson had left for The Shetlands before the barn fire at Butler's Farm. Is that correct?," they asked him.

"I'm really sorry, but I don't remember that. I think I saw Tracy that night. I can't remember when exactly, I was a bit distracted with all the fire stuff," he told them as he tried to swerve suspicion from ().

The Dingles also seemed to believe Tracy was the chief suspect and turned the table on her when they confronted her over the fact she has been accusing Cain to anyone who will listen.

"I know what it's like to lose a dad. How on earth could you think that I would do that to my own daughter? You told me Nate had gone to Shetland, right?" she put to John. However he once again claimed he couldn't remember much to her chagrin.

She reminded them how hard it had been for her since Nate left as she had struggled financially. She also reminded them she has been texting him. This was shot down though when it was pointed out Cain had also been messaging with Nate but he was "still in the frame".

With so many people now pointing the finger at Tracy, it would appear John's plan is working.
