ISRO Remote Sensing Training: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has offered a free online course called 'Remote Sensing Data Analytics for Crop Production Forecasting'. This course is being organized by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). This one-week course of ISRO is designed to provide the knowledge and skills required to forecast crop production using remote sensing data. If you want to learn various nuances of the agriculture sector, then you can join this online course of ISRO.

About the course
This course teaches how to analyze remote sensing data to accurately predict crop production. Apart from this, it will also teach to obtain information about the condition, growth, and production of crops using satellite data.

Eligibility and benefits for the course

If you want to specialize in remote sensing and geo-informatics, then you can join this course. In this course, you will be taught the skill of collecting some information about the condition of the crop, so that you can make better decisions related to it. Through the course, you will also get an opportunity to learn the skill of forecasting crop production for food security. Along with this, it will also increase awareness of space technology in agriculture.

There is also an interactive session.

The training program will be conducted through online live and interactive sessions as per the schedule set by IIRS ISRO. The daily program will be updated regularly on the e-class platform. After the course, the participants will have to appear in the online exam. Participants with at least 70% attendance will be eligible to appear in the exam. Participants securing 50% or more marks in the exam will be awarded a merit certificate by ISRO.

Registration for the course

Candidates can register for this course running from June 16 to June 20, 2025. The registration of the participants must be approved by the coordinator of their respective IIRS DLP Nodal Center. Candidates can apply by visiting the official link elearning.irs.gov.in. The last date to apply is June 15, 2025.
