In a bizarre and alarming incident, a car entered and drove through the KSRTC bus stand in Mangaluru city, passing directly between platforms 6 and 7, startling passengers and staff alike.

The vehicle, registered in Kerala, was reportedly driven by a man named Shimil. According to eyewitnesses, Shimil drove the car right onto the passenger platform area — a space typically used for boarding and alighting from buses — and exited through the main gate of the bus stand.

Preliminary reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle while arriving to pick up a passenger. With no other apparent route to exit, he reportedly steered the car through the pedestrian zone used by commuters. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, though panic briefly gripped the area.

The Mangaluru City West Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances that led to the dangerous intrusion into the bus terminal.
