This video was shared by Indian-American entrepreneur Kunal Jain, who has expressed deep grief and anger over this incident.

Kunal Jain, president of HealthBots AI, called the incident a 'human tragedy'. He wrote, 'I saw a young Indian student being deported at Newark airport—handcuffed, crying, like a criminal. He came with dreams, not to cause harm.'

Appeal for help from the Indian Embassy

Jain appealed to the Indian Embassy to intervene in the matter and said that such students should be helped who are being sent back without giving proper reason. According to Kunal Jain, the student seemed to be speaking Haryanvi language. He also claimed that many such Indian students have been deported in similar manner in recent times.

He said, 'These children fly with visa in the morning, but when they are unable to explain the reason for their travel to the immigration officers, they are sent back in the evening handcuffed like criminals. 3-4 such cases are happening every day.'

Role of the PAPDEdit

In the video, an officer is seen wearing a 'Port Authority Police' cap. This agency is deployed to protect the transit system of New York and New Jersey and is considered the largest transit police force in America.
