Lucknow. A golden opportunity is coming out for the youth preparing for government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government is going to start the recruitment process for vacant posts of home guards soon. According to media reports, the state government has cleared this recruitment and preparations are in the final stages. This recruitment process can start from July 2025, under which 44,000 home guard posts will be filled.

How much salary does UP Home Guard get?

Home Guard jawans are paid daily on duty basis in Uttar Pradesh. Currently, home guards are being paid daily from ₹ 670 to ₹ 700 daily. If a young man performs duty for about 25 days a month, then his monthly salary is made from ₹ 16,750 to ₹ 17,500.

It is worth noting that it is not a permanent job, rather it is based on the “Work -based Payment” system. If there is no duty, payment is not done. Home Guard jawans of Uttar Pradesh have been demanding regularization and permanent pay scale for a long time.

Academic qualification and age limit

Educational qualification: It is mandatory to have a minimum 10th pass (high school). This qualification is estimated on the basis of recruitment of previous years. The final information will be found in the official notification.

Age limit: The minimum age for home guards is 18 years, while the maximum age is fixed at 45 years. Reserve classes can also be given age relaxation as per government rules. If you want to do a home guard job, then get involved in preparation, because recruitment is coming soon.
