New Delhi: Taste Atlas, a prominent global food guide, has officially released its latest ranking of the “Top 50 Breakfasts” worldwide. This ranking not only captivates food enthusiasts but also showcases the rich diversity of traditional flavours and iconic dishes. India claims its rightful place on this esteemed list with three remarkable dishes, reflecting its rich culinary heritage.

Renowned for its engaging food polls and listicles, Taste Atlas has set the stage for food lovers everywhere. Dominating the list is Kahvalti from Turkey, representing the elaborate and culturally significant breakfast meal in Turkish tradition.

In a strong second place is Komplet lepinga from Serbia. This exceptional delicacy features traditional flatbread cut in half, generously coated in thick cream and topped with egg. Securing the third position is Sfinz from Libya, a delightful traditional pastry crafted from a dough of flour, yeast, sugar, water, and salt.

Indian dishes that made to the list

In the latest rankings of breakfast dishes by Taste Atlas, Indian cuisine made a strong impression with several standout entries. Dominating the 18th spot is Misal from Maharashtra, a dish that confidently embodies the phrase “a mixture of everything.” This flavourful combination includes curd, pea curry, moth beans, and rich gravy.

Paratha, a quintessential layered flatbread beloved for breakfast, claimed the 23rd position. Its golden-brown, pan-fried exterior boasts a flaky texture that elevates the overall taste experience.

Chole Bhature, an iconic dish from the capital city, secured the 32nd spot. This delectable combination of spicy chickpea curry and bhature—a perfectly deep-fried flatbread—delivers an irresistible crunch and exceptional flavour.

While the top 50 breakfast dishes were showcased on Instagram, Taste Atlas has also highlighted additional Indian dishes ranked from 51 to 100 on its website. Noteworthy entries include Misal Pav at 57, Shrikhand at 60, and Palak Paneer at 95.

In conclusion, the podium was dominated by Turkish cuisine, which tied with Serbian cuisine, while Libyan cuisine was close behind. Despite not claiming the top spots, India has made a powerful statement in the breakfast category with three remarkable entries.
