The 'Kuberaa' song launch event saw the film’s lead stars, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, and Jim Sarbh, lighting up the occasion with their presence. However, the highlight of the evening was veteran actor Nagarjuna’s heartfelt praise for his co-star Rashmika Mandanna, which stole the spotlight.

Nagarjuna lauds Rashmika Mandanna's meteoric rise

Nagarjuna didn’t hold back as he lauded Rashmika’s achievements and rising stardom. “This girl Rashmika is one powerhouse of talent. She has made a filmography in the last 3 years, which is outstanding. None of us have 2000-3000 crore collections, she is the one. She has beaten all of us,” he said, earning a thunderous response from the crowd.

Rashmika, who arrived at the event in a chic ensemble, responded to the praise with characteristic modesty. “I am happy where I am today. It’s all because of the audience’s love. Honestly, I have just started. I don’t know what this whole number one situation is, because I am doing films both in Bollywood and South. I don’t know what this race is about,” she said, striking a chord with fans and media alike.

While Rashmika basked in admiration, her co-star Jim Sarbh also received a glowing endorsement from Nagarjuna. Speaking about working with him, Nagarjuna said, “I got to work with the great Jim Sarbh. He is outstanding as the villain. This man is impossible. He put me on my toes and was saying Telugu dialogues even better than me.”

Nagarjuna also expressed his gratitude for the love he continues to receive from audiences beyond the South. “Right from my first film Shiva or Khuda Gawah to my dubbed films, all have been accepted so well in the North. I am filled with deep gratitude,” he shared.

Nagarjuna and Rashmika’s film Kuberaa

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, ‘Kuberaa’ is shaping up to be a compelling emotional drama backed by a powerful cast and vibrant music. The film is scheduled to release on June 20 in multiple languages, and expectations are running high.
