Navjot Singh Sidhu's Comeback to The Great Indian Kapil Show

After nearly five years away, Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to return to The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 as a permanent guest judge, sharing the spotlight with Archana Puran Singh.

A promotional video released by Netflix India features host Kapil Sharma surprising Archana with a mysterious gift, which turns out to be Sidhu. Her reaction is one of comic disbelief, nearly causing her to faint, while Kapil humorously suggests that Sidhu might dominate the conversation. Sidhu then recites a classic shayari, marking a nostalgic and entertaining return.

Previously, Sidhu was part of The Kapil Sharma Show from 2018 to 2020, reportedly earning around Rs 25 crore for 125 episodes, averaging Rs 20 lakh per episode. With the new season airing weekly on an OTT platform, his fees have significantly increased. Industry sources indicate that he is now charging between Rs 30 to Rs 40 lakh per episode, making this one of the priciest comebacks in Indian television comedy.

Sidhu expressed his excitement about returning, stating, “Coming to The Great Indian Kapil Show feels like I’m coming home again. It is a home run for me. We heard the voice of the people, so many fans and well-wishers who loved our interactions and wanted to see more. I’m delighted that Netflix has managed to bring this bouquet of beautiful people together and we will bloom this season for audiences worldwide. A smile doesn’t cost you a cent, but it is worth millions of dollars, and The Great Indian Kapil Show is an instrument of god’s goodwill to bring happiness to mankind – honoured to be part of it again.”

The third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show is scheduled to premiere on June 21, exclusively on Netflix, featuring Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, and Sidhu, along with beloved cast members Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda.
