fans are adamant that Nate Robinson is not dead, predicting a massive plot twist.

Nate (Jurell Carter) first appeared on the soap in 2019 as Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) long-lost son and quickly became embroiled in village scandal.

After a shocking affair with Cain's wife Moira (Natalie J Robb), who was oblivious to the fact he was her stepson, Nate went on to marry Tracy (Amy Walsh) in 2023 and they had a daughter, Frankie, in 2021.

However, last year, Nate mysteriously disappeared from the Dales after announcing he had accepted a job in Shetland and left the village.

His sudden departure raised eyebrows among fans who suspected foul play when he seemingly vanished without a trace. Their suspicions were confirmed when it was later revealed that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) had murdered him, reports Belfast Live.

John disposed of Nate's body in the lake, believing he had successfully covered up his heinous crime. However, the body was found last month, sending shockwaves through the village.

Several villagers have since become suspects, including Cain. Meanwhile, John has managed to avoid suspicion by going to great lengths to cover his tracks and frame others.

But now, soap devotees are convinced that Nate isn't actually dead and are predicting a surprising secret twin twist.

Not much is known about Nate's background or upbringing, other than his father is Cain and his mother is Cara Robinson. A new fan theory suggests he may have had a secret twin all along.

In a frenzy of speculation, Emmerdale fans on a Facebook group are theorising wild plot twists, with one stating: "What if all this time Nate is actually alive and John actually murdered his secret twin! ! !" Another chimed in with, "Stranger things have happened in Emmerdale."

Moreover, last week's episode had viewers doing a double-take when they spotted an individual resembling Nate at the police station, fuelling even more conspiracy theories. "I bet it was Nate who was at the police station the other week!" exclaimed an eager viewer.

Echoing this intrigue, another added: "Plot twist, it was Nate," and a third contributed: "He did look identical to Nate."

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
