Incident Overview

A five-year-old boy tragically drowned in a swimming pool in Kota, as reported by local authorities on Tuesday.


The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on Monday when Jihan, a resident of Ranpur, was at the pool with his mother and other family members.


Circumstances of the Drowning

According to Circle Inspector Ramvilas, after swimming, the family went to change their clothes, leaving the child unattended. The boy wandered off towards the deeper end of the pool without anyone noticing.


When his mother returned about five to seven minutes later, she was unable to locate him and immediately alerted the pool staff.


Rescue Efforts

Upon searching, the boy was found submerged in the pool. Ramvilas stated that he was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
