Former US Open champion Dustin Johnson has amassed a fortune through his golfing career, and his wife is also in line to inherit a substantial sum. The ex-world No. 1 has won two major championships, having secured the US Open in 2016 and emerged victorious at the Masters in 2020.

The 40-year-old is aiming for a second US Open win this week as the tournament kicks off at Oakmont Country Club on Thursday. reports that Johnson, who was LIV Golf Individual Champion in 2022, has pocketed £42.7million since joining the breakaway league. His wife Paulina, who recently posed with Johnson for a photoshoot ahead of the US Open, is no stranger to sporting wealth as the daughter of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.

The pair first met in 2009 but started dating four years later. They got engaged just seven months into their relationship but waited until April 2022 to marry at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee.

Johnson and Gretzky, who is 36, are parents to two sons. Their eldest, Tatum, was born in 2015, followed by their second son River, two years later.

Paulina was already part of a sporting family with an impressive net worth. Her golfer husband, Johnson, has accumulated a substantial fortune on the green, but it pales in comparison to her father's wealth.

The reported that Gretzky purchased the house for £3.3m, providing his son-in-law Johnson with a £1.1m profit. The Gretzkys also own another property in Palm Beach County, Florida, having acquired an Alton Community townhouse for £1.1m in October 2021.

Born and raised in Brantford, Ontario, stated that Gretzky still owns his childhood home. In addition to her father's collection of houses, Paulina may inherit the custom-built Steinway 340 HT powerboat that her parents bought in September 2021. The 34-foot mahogany vessel can reach up to 50mph and was purchased while Gretzky was staying at their Idaho lakehouse.

The boat was hand-built by Couer Custom from sapele hardwood. It has seating for 12 people and loungers situated in the open-bow area. The main cockpit includes sofas and the Steinway also has an upholstered sunpad at the stern. For those who want to sit in the shade, the hardtop features an electric bimini. reported that Gretzky paid £667k to have Couer Customs design the boat, which features a Canadian flag.

"We literally had a couple of days enjoying the boat before we left town. But we're heading back next week, the boat goes back in the water, and then we'll have the entire summer on the lake to have fun," Gretzky revealed to in June 2022.

"The boatyard told me it would go fast, but to tell you the truth, I'm not too bothered about that," Gretzsky admitted. "I was relatively fast when I skated, but these days I drive my car slow. I'm happy to drive my boat slow. I'll take comfort over speed any day."

However, Gretzky credited his wife with designing the boat: "She's the creative one in the family; the only thing I asked for was to have a Canadian flag at the back."
