Debenhams has rolled out a hefty sale on a trendy floor fan, especially for the summer. The Neo is on sale for £39.75.

The metal-effect fan is 20 inches in height and has three adjustable speed options: high, medium, and low. It's easy to assemble, with instructions and a three-speed push button. has a retro design, which sets it apart from the on-trend bladeless fans that are all the rage at the moment. It is also designed with anti-slip feet so it won't slide around on wooden or tiled floors.

The fan has a four out of five overall customer satisfaction rating and a string of reviews. A pleased buyer wrote: "Amazing! It's huge! Easy to set up with no need for extra fixings."

Another said: "Excellent item, great value for money. Quick delivery."

An additional customer said the fan 'works well', but had issues with its functions, explaining: "The buttons are kept on the back side of the fan, which makes it difficult to operate. Adjusting the fan position is not so easy. The side tightening screws are not strong enough."

Alternatives are available at various retailers. For instance, this is on sale for £49.99 (from £57.69). It has three blades, an oscillating digital pedestal, three speeds, and three modes: nature, sleep, and normal.

Over at Argos, there's a and Air Purifier for £120. The dual-usage device helps users breathe easier by filtering out unwanted particles. It also has 10 speed settings and three oscillating wind modes.

Back to Debenhams' reviews for the , another buyer commented: "The fan arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered it. It is mostly assembled. I am very pleased with it as it tilts up. It has three speed settings, and I purchased it for less than half price."

A fifth buyer concluded: "This fan is fabulous. I didn't realise how big it was, but it's powerful, but not a wind turbine. "Even better, it was that it was on sale. I love it. Very much recommended."
