Haryana Weather: The scorching heat and heatwave in Haryana have made life miserable for people. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heatwave in 9 districts of the state till June 13, in which the maximum temperature is expected to reach 48 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday, temperatures crossed 44 degrees Celsius in Sirsa, Hisar, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Charkhi Dadri. However, weather experts have predicted a change in the weather from June 14, when dust storms and light rain may bring relief to people from the heat.

Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Meteorology Department, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, said that the weather in Haryana will remain dry and hot till June 13.

During this time, north-western winds will blow, which will further increase the temperature. There is a possibility of light clouds and dusty winds in between. But from June 14, the direction of the winds is expected to change to north-eastern, which will increase the humidity and there is a possibility of partial cloud cover. This change will bring relief to people suffering from heat.

The weather department has issued an orange alert for Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani and Rohtak on June 11, while the rest of Haryana has a yellow alert.

On June 12, a yellow alert will be issued in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Sonipat, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal, Mewat and Mahendragarh, and on June 13, a yellow alert has been issued in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Ambala, Yamunanagar and Karnal. People are being advised to drink more water and avoid going out during the day to avoid the heat.
