The players who are dominating cricket at present include Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Joe Root. They are also known as Fab-4. These four have dominated world cricket since 2010. Be it ODI Test or T20, they have dominated in every format. All four are still active in different formats of international cricket but are slowly moving towards retirement. This has also started a debate about who will replace these four in the coming times. Williamson has suggested five names, from which the Fab-Four can emerge. Out of these five, two are Indians, and one each is from New Zealand, England, and Australia.

Discussion started on new Fab-4

Kohli has already retired from Test and T20 formats. Smith has said goodbye to the ODI format. While the cricket world is enjoying the current 'Fab 4', talks about the next 'Fab 4' have already begun. Fab-4 member Williamson himself has named those players. He was asked which players could be in the Fab-4 if all formats are considered in the coming times.

Williamson selected these players.

In response to this, Williamson said in a conversation with ESPNcricinfo, 'If we look at different formats, players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Rachin Ravindra and Harry Brook come to mind. Cameron Green also comes to mind. All of them are excellent players and have performed well in all formats. All are young and improvement can be seen in their game.'

Cullinan said this about Kohli.

Recently, former South African star Daryl Cullinan chose Kohli as the best in the 'Fab Four'. He had said that the way Virat batted responsibly in all forms of cricket was great to see. Cullinan said, 'I think the Fab Four has the best players in all formats of the game. All of them have played brilliantly in Test cricket. But what sets me apart from Virat Kohli is that he batted responsibly in all formats of cricket. Also, he lived up to expectations in captaincy. Kohli played like he loved it very much. He enjoyed playing Tests and that's why he wants to be remembered. That's why I have great respect for Kohli especially compared to other Fab-Four players.'

Cullinan counted Kohli's qualities.

Cullinan said, 'I am not calling Smith, Root or Williamson bad. All three are very good players. But apart from thinking about the Fab Four, if I only talk about Kohli's batting, he has been the backbone of India's batting. Winning matches by batting well in difficult moments, chasing big scores, scoring runs at a fast pace and handling the innings, happily facing the world on the field... are some of the qualities that make him great. In such a situation, I feel that he has emerged as a tremendous cricketer for any age and time.
