Narmadaba, the wife of renowned storyteller Morarari Bapu, passed away on Wednesday at their residence in Talaja village, located in Gujarat's Bhavnagar district. Family sources confirmed that she was 79 years old.
A close associate of Morarari Bapu informed reporters that Narmadaba had been unwell for some time. She took her last breath early Wednesday morning at their home in Talaja, where her last rites were performed later that day.
The associate also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Morarari Bapu via phone in the afternoon to express his condolences. Morarari Bapu is well-known for his recitations of the Ramayana and interpretations of the Ramcharitmanas.
