India, along with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, has launched an important project to strengthen energy cooperation, about which Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar himself has given information. India will invested 90,000 crore rupees in collaboration with Saudi Arabia and UAE to construct Electric Power Transmission under the sea.
Giving information, Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that, Rs 47,000 crore will be spent on 1,700 km -long undersigned cable for Saudi Arabia and Rs 43,5000 crore on 1,400 km long cable for UAE. The objective of this initiative is to export electricity to these countries using India’s renewable energy resources.
Somewhere this project shows the growing self -reliance and export capacity in India in the energy sector. Let us know that since 2014, India has made surplus in energy deficit. In 2024-25, India pairing a 34 gigawatt record repayment capacity, with 29.5 gigawatt renewable energy. This project will not only promote India’s renewable energy goals but also strengthen regional energy trade.
Manohar Lal Khattar also said that India will not set up any new thermal coal -based power plants after 2035 and the government is trying to develop large -scale nuclear energy production capacity to provide baseload power for the grid. The Union Energy Minister put forward his point and said that, we are trying to reduce the time taken to finalize nuclear power plants for about 8 to 9 years for the current 13 years. We are also ensuring that every state which does not join the earthquake area 5 should have at least one nuclear power plant.
