Delhi News: A coach of a train from New Delhi's Nizamuddin station to Ghaziabad derailed near Shivaji Bridge on the down main line.

The coach number 64419 (NZM-GZB EMU) derailed at around 4:10 PM today, June 12.

According to news agency ANI, the restoration work is underway.

There have been no reports of injuries or casualties as of yet, said Northern Railways. On-spot assistance is being provided to passengers, and regular operations should shortly resume.

Northern Railway authorities claimed that a preliminary investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the incident, with track breakdown, mechanical concerns, and signal malfunction among the possibilities under consideration.

Senior railway officials visited the site and oversaw repair work, which was finished late in the evening, allowing for the partial resumption of train services.

Passenger trains on the line encountered considerable delays throughout the afternoon, prompting notifications at major stations to keep passengers informed.

The Railways also promised a high-level investigation to guarantee responsibility and prevent such accidents.
