Chennai, June 12: The team behind the Tamil film 'Akkenam', directed by Uday K, has revealed that the movie will premiere in theaters on July 4. The film stars renowned actor and producer Arun Pandiyan alongside his daughter, Keerthi Pandiyan.
Actress Keerthi Pandiyan shared the news on her X account, stating, "#Akkenam releases on July 4th in theatres. Trailer and audio from June 14th."
This film has generated significant interest as it marks the second collaboration between the father-daughter duo, following their successful appearance in 'Anbirkiniyal', which received critical acclaim.
'Akkenam' is produced by Arun Pandiyan in collaboration with Saravana Kumar and A K Sekar, featuring a talented cast that includes Adithya Shivpink, Ramesh Thilak, and GM Sundar.
The cinematography is handled by Vignesh Govindarajan, while Barath Veeraraghavan composes the music. Editing is done by Devathyan, and Bhuvaneshwaran serves as co-director. Raja is responsible for the art direction, and action sequences are choreographed by PC Stunts.
The film's songs are written by lyricists Mohan Rajan, Karthick Netha, and Chandy.
Director Uday has mentioned that the film's narrative will unfold at a rapid pace, with significant portions filmed in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, as well as key locations in North India.
Notably, the film's background score was recorded in a well-known studio in Europe. Sources indicate that filming has concluded, and the project is currently in post-production.
