Sports games,Radha Yadav has been included in the team in place of injured Shuchi Upadhyay for the Indian women’s team’s tour of England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the decision on Thursday (June 12).
Shuchi Upadhyay’s injury
Shuchi Upadhyay made his ODI debut during the tri -series against Sri Lanka in May 2025. He played a match in the series and conceded 59 runs off 54 balls. In the game, he bowled at an economy rate of 6.55 and has not taken his first wicket yet. The 20 -year -old left -handed spinner has suffered an injury to the left calf.
The BCCI said in a release, “Shuchi was dropped from the tour due to injury to the left calf, which was diagnosed during the pre-tour camp at the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru.”
Radha Yadav was nominated as a replacement
The BCCI has declared Radha Yadav as a replacement of Shuchi.
The BCCI said, “The Women’s Selection Committee has included Radha Yadav in place of Shuchi Upadhyay in Team India’s team for the tour of England.” Radha Yadav, 25, has played 84 T20 matches and has taken 97 wickets. He has taken 8 wickets in 7 ODIs played so far.
